Check-in
You can check in from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; check-out is until 11:00 a.m. Our hearty breakfast buffet is served from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. If you’d like to have breakfast earlier, we can prepare a generously filled breakfast box for you.
Bar & diner
Our bar is open daily until 7:30 PM; our lounge is open all evening with a self-service bar. We do not have a restaurant on-site. For dinner, we recommend the restaurant De Zoes, located directly across from the hotel. If you’d like to dine at De Zoes, we recommend making a reservation in advance. There are also many other great dining options nearby. Click here for our recommendations.
Parking
There is free parking right next to the hotel, at Molenstraat 6, across from De Zoes restaurant. You can also use the free public parking available near the hotel.
Cycling & Hiking
You can enjoy cycling and hiking in the immediate vicinity starting at junction 25. During your visit, you can rent bicycles or e-bikes through Welten Bike Rental. We also have a free, covered, and locked bike rack if you bring your own bikes. We also offer free cycling and hiking routes.
Dogs
Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to bring your dog with you during your stay.
About us
The history of Hotel Nieuw Antiek
Hotel Nieuw Antiek has a long and rich history. The Verkoelen-Schilte family had been running the hotel since 1935 and laid the foundation for the character the building exudes today. In July 2021, Bas Muyres and Pavel van Houten took over to preserve and further develop the hotel’s authentic charm and nostalgic atmosphere. As of the end of December 2025, Mark van Tilborgh has completed the acquisition of the hotel, and is building the future of Hotel Nieuw Antiek with the same enthusiasm and respect for the past.
Hospitality & Groups
Whether you’re looking for a relaxing weekend getaway, a hiking or biking vacation, or a place to stay with a group, we warmly welcome you. Our location and accommodations are also ideal for groups (up to about 20 people).
Although we do not have a regular restaurant on-site, we do serve a delicious breakfast every day. For groups, we can organize customized meals or dinners upon request. In addition, there are numerous excellent dining options within walking distance, such as Restaurant De Zoes, located directly across from the hotel.
A Charming Place to Stay in North Limburg
Hotel Nieuw Antiek is a nostalgic boutique hotel located in the center of Helden in North Limburg, close to the German and Belgian borders. Helden is situated in a beautiful, lush green setting and lies centrally between three national parks: “De Groote Peel,” “De Meinweg,” and “De Maasduinen.” The Heldense Bossen are also within walking distance of the hotel.

Led by Mark van Tilborgh, our welcoming team at the front desk, breakfast service, and housekeeping is ready to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We’re happy to help you plan hiking and biking routes, suggest places of interest in the region, and accommodate any specific requests you may have regarding your room or stay.

If you’re coming by car, we recommend setting your GPS to Molenstraat 6, Helden; our parking lot is located here, right next to the hotel.
Directions by Public Transportation
From the Horst-Sevenum, Venlo, or Roermond train stations, the hotel is about 20 to 25 minutes away by bus lines 372 (Roermond), 370 (Venlo), and 79 (Horst-Sevenum). The bus stops right at the hotel (less than a minute’s walk).
